PhD Health and Wellbeing



The project:

The Faculty of Social Sciences and Law are delighted to invite applications for an ESRC Funded PhD in Health and Wellbeing with an expected start date of 6th January 2014. Research topics are flexible but must be agreed with the School of Policy Studies before registration. Candidate requirements:

This PhD is available to students who have previously undertaken a relevant Masters level programme incorporating research methods training at an ESRC recognised institution.

Funding: This ESRC funded studentship generously provides a stipend for three years of PhD research. Successful candidates will receive full UK/EU tuition fees plus UK students will receive a Doctoral Stipend matching UK Research Council National Minimum (£13,726 p.a. for 2013/14, updated each year).  Candidates will also have access to an annual Research and Training support grant of £750.

Due to residency requirements, funding is not available to international students. EU students may apply but will be eligible for a fees only award.
