PhD in Environment, Energy and Resilience



The project:

The Faculty of Social Sciences and Law are delighted to invite applications for an Alumni Funded PhD in Environment, Energy and Resilience with an expected start date of 6th January 2014. Research topics are flexible but must be agreed with the School of Law before registration. Please use the Research Details section of the application form to outline your area of interest. Candidate requirements:

This PhD is available to students who have previously undertaken a relevant Masters level programme incorporating research methods training at an ESRC recognised institution.

Funding:  The Alumni Scholarship generously provides a stipend for three years of PhD research. Successful candidates will receive full tuition fees plus an Enhanced Doctoral Stipend exceeding the UK Research Council National Minimum (£16,000 p.a. for 2013/14, updated each year). Candidates will also have access to a Research and Training support grant which totals £5000.

Due to residency requirements, funding is not available to international students. EU students may apply but will be eligible for a fees only award.
