About the ERIM Master of Philosophy in Business Research
ERIM Master of Philosophy in Business Research (ERIM Research Master) is an integral part of a 5-year ERIM Doctoral Programme in Business and Management that is being offered by the Erasmus Research Institute of Management (ERIM). ERIM offers five specialisation tracks within its doctoral programme:

  • Finance & Accounting
  • Business Processes, Logistics and Information Systems
  • Marketing
  • Organisation
  • Strategy & Entrepreneurship

ERIM Research Master was specifically designed for academically talented and motivated students who would like to combine education in a specialisation of their choice with undertaking research in that field. With no more than 30 fellow students, this programme offers individual supervision, highly personal approach and the opportunity to research the chosen subject in great depth. The amount and composition of the course work depends on the candidate’s specific educational background and individual profile. The entire programme is taught in English by some of the most distinguished management research academics in the world. It provides the perfect preparation for a PhD in either Management or Business, or for a research position in the wider world of business.

ERIM Studentship
ERIM offers full and partial studentships to excellent research master applicants. Full studentship consists of an annual stipend of €10,000 and tuition fee reduction for non-EEA applicants. Partial studentship consists of a tuition fee reduction for non-EEA applicants (one pays €1,828 for tuition fee instead of € 15,550).

Admission Requirements

ERIM Research Master is open to excellent university students (bachelor or masters) with the background in business or economics and also from the fields such as psychology, sociology, engineering, technology etc. Since ERIM offers an outstanding level of research in business and management, admission criteria are very selective. Applicants are required to have: excellent academic results (BA/BSc or MA/MSc); good GMAT-test or GRE-test scores; good TOEFL or IELTS test results. In addition to these formal requirements, candidates for the ERIM Research Master are selected on the basis of their CVs, academic references, and interviews with the Doctoral Admission Committee
