Queen Maryâs Doctoral College is awarding over Â£10million in studentships to support the most talented and ambitious new researchers. Successful applicants will receiveÂ
generous studentships to cover fees and living costs in recognition of the vital role that they will play in Queen Mary’s lively research community. Self-funded applicants are also welcome to apply for a PhD in any of the areas in which we can offer supervision.
Queen Mary University of London is part of the 24 strong Russell Group of elite research intensive universities that together attract well over two-thirds of all available research funding in the UK and account for the same proportion of the very best research (âworld-leadingâ) in the country.
We have 12 funded PhDs in our Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry; and up to 40 funded PhDs in each of our Faculties of Science and Engineering and Humanities and Social Sciences. Â
Many of the studentships we offer are jointly held by more than one academic school, reflecting the interdisciplinary nature of the research activity across the university. Our academics provide PhD supervision across a wide range of subject areas including:
- Humanities and Social Sciences
- Business and Management
- Economics and Finance
- Languages, Linguistics and Film
- Politics and International Relations
