Fully Funded PhD Studentship in Operational Research and Logistics

Project description Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for a PhD studentship in the Department of Mathematics, University of Portsmouth, to start in October 2013.

The PhD studentship is in Operational Research and Logistics.

Within the area of Operational Research and Logistics research is currently carried out in multi-objective optimisation; meta-heuristic methods; packing and routing optimisation; multi-criteria decision aid; logistics; reverse logistics; and supply chain management.

Applicants should have, or expect to shortly receive, an honours degree (at least 2.1 or equivalent) in mathematics or a closely related discipline.

Funding This studentship is open to citizens of EU countries and is for 3 years to cover tuition fees and an annual maintenance grant of £13,726 per annum.
