SCentRo Funded PhD Studentships

The Sheffield Centre for Robotics (www.scentro.ac.uk) has an EPSRC Doctoral Training Grant (DTG) studentship for 2013/14. The studentship will provide standard research council support for home students (tuition fees plus maintenance of £13,726 per year) for 3.5 years.

Support is available for projects in the areas of assistive and field robotics, and the award will be made to a strong student whose skills, enthusiasm and expertise can be matched to a suitable supervisory team. Applicants should indicate general areas in robotics in which they would like to pursue research, please see the SCentRo website (www.scentro.ac.uk) for ideas of current areas of interest.

It is expected that the successful applicant will be co-supervised by two University of Sheffield departments.

Requirements

You must have a good honours degree (at least 2:1) in an appropriate discipline. A relevant Masters degree and/or experience in robotics would be an advantage.
