Research Studentships in Security



Stipend: £13,726 (pa)

Abertay University’s Graduate School is fully-funding 18 new doctoral studentships valued at £73,850 each. The pan-University Graduate School offers an integrated training programme to the postgraduate community within a single centre, serving to inculcate interdisciplinary working in our next generation of researchers.

Building on our investment of £1 million over three years, we are inviting applications from excellent graduates within the following themed area:

Security (forensic psychology, forensic science, ethical hacking and digital forensics, law);

This research theme draws on our industry-facing heritage, our effective interdisciplinary practice, and are built around our existing expertise and internationally recognised successes. Our multi- and inter-disciplinary research strategy bridges conventional boundaries between research fields, enabling us to devise innovative approaches to address societal challenges.

Candidates must have, or expect to obtain a first class or high upper second-class honours degree. A related Masters level qualification is desirable but not essential.  Applicants who are non-native speakers of English, the University requires IELTS of 6.5 (with no band less that 6.0)

First entrants will commence in January 2014.
