PhD Studentship Molecular mechanisms of bacterial pathogenesis



The project will study molecular mechanisms of bacterial pathogenesis focusing on the human pathogen Staphylococcus aureus. S. aureus encodes for a type VII like specialized secretion systems which secrete multiple virulence-associated proteins.

Funding Details: Fees and maintenance at RCUK Level

Length of Award: 3 years (PhD)

Eligibility: For funding requirements the applicant should be eligible as a UK/EU student

Application Details:

Students are expected to have a 2:1 BSc or a MSc degree (or equivalent) in Life Sciences or related areas. Applicants with prior laboratory experience will be preferred.
