An exciting opportunity has arisen for an MSc researcher in an emerging area of machine prognosis; the position is industrially funded by Shell Global Solutions International B.V.

The principal aim of this study is to investigate the use of chaos theory for predicting the performance of rotating machines. Today, a significant amount of performance and operational data can be acquired, and the purpose of this investigation is to explore all possible correlations between measured parameters. A strong background in mathematics would be advantageous.
