MProf Food & Drink Innovation (Packaging and Sustainability)



This postgraduate full or part-time programme is ideally suited to those already in employment or looking to diversify their career into the food and drink industry.

  • Learn about industry expectations as you are supported and mentored by experienced professionals and academic specialists
  • Follow a curriculum designed in collaboration with Scotland Food & Drink, Skills Development Scotland and Interface Food & Drink to meet the demands of the food and drink industry.
  • Get involved with our highly successful commercial arm Food Innovation @ Abertay and with interdisciplinary researchers from across the University
  • Apply your own specialist capability and develop new sector-specific expertise through specialist education and collaborative mixed-team working on industry-linked innovation projects.

Abertay’s track record in food and drink is excellent. We have one of the most successful suites of undergraduate food programmes in Scotland. We have helped develop creative solutions for over 150 companies through Food Innovation @ Abertay, and are higher education host for the Scotland Food & Drink Skills Academy.

Scottish Funding Council fee-funded places and bursaries of £3400 (pro-rata) for entry in September 2013 are available for eligible applicants domiciled in Scotland and the European Union.
