The Role
Working within Goldsmiths Department of Sociology, you will become part of a vibrant multidisciplinary team working on the ERC funded project, The Gender of Justice. Working at the intersection of law, sociology, feminist and transitional justice scholarship, the project studies the âgenderâ of international justice for sexual violence in armed conflict. The research programme develops a new âgender justiceâ research framework by studying patterns and prosecutions of sexual violence in the conflict in the former Yugoslavia.
The post involves research and research administration for the project. You will have a PhD in Social Science or equivalent research or professional experience (such as masters level in the field of law). Knowledge and experience of qualitative social research and data analysis is essential. You should also have knowledge and experience of transitional or international criminal justice research, with a focus on gender justice issues in this area. Previous administrative experience will be desirable.
