PhD Studentships in Humanities

Humanities PhD Studentships available at the University of Roehampton through the TECHNE Doctoral Training Partnership

TECHNE is an AHRC Doctoral Training Partnership, a Consortium of 7 higher education institutions, including the University of Roehampton, based in London and the South-East of the UK. Over 5 years (2014-2019), TECHNE will award around 176 PhD studentships and 25 masters studentships at one of its partner institutions.

The consortium as a whole will award 37 studentships and 5 masters studentships each year. The quotas each year for Art History and Classical subjects (Group C) will be up to 7-9 studentships and for History, Philosophy and Theology and Religious Studies (Group A) will be up to 4-7 studentships.

The Department of Humanities welcome applications for PhD scholarships. The deadline is 19 February 2014, by which time applicants should have submitted their applications using the TECHNE application form (Roehampton version), available at the website above. We strongly advise students to consult departmental staff on their research proposal before submitting an application. To do this, please contact the relevant staff members for your field of research:
