MA Studentship Photographic History and Practice



STARTING SEPTEMBER 2013

An AHRC Block Grant MA Studentship, covering stipend and tuition fees, is offered within the Photographic History Research Centre (PHRC) in the Faculty of Art, Design and Humanities. The MA in Photographic History and Practice is unique in its approach to social and cultural history of photography. With its small class sizes, individual attention and close links to collections professionals, the MA provides a strong platform for career advancement and preparation for further study. Candidates might come from a range of possible disciplines: history, history of science, cultural heritage, science, art history, science and technology studies, anthropology, and visual culture studies.

Applications are invited from UK or EU students with a good first degree (First, 2:1 or equivalent). MA scholarships are available for one year, full-time study starting October 1st 2013 and provide a bursary of £13,770pa in addition to university tuition fees.
