MA by Research Scholarships 2013/14



The School of Philosophy, Religion and History of Science (PRHS) at Leeds intends to offer up to three scholarships for its full-time and part-time MA by Research programmes in Philosophy, Theology and Religious Studies, and History and Philosophy of Science.

The scholarships are available from 1st October 2013 and consist of a full fee waiver for Home/EU students and a partial fee waiver (equivalent to full Home/EU rate) for international students, along with £500 of research funds.

Students will typically register and begin their studies no later than 1st October 2013. Awards must be taken in 2013/14 (they cannot be deferred).

Note that these awards are only available for MA by Research programmes in the School.

Application Details

The closing date for applications to these scholarships is Friday 1st March 2013.

Applicants must have applied for a place of study, and submitted all supporting documents, prior to the scholarship deadline. Information on how to apply for a research degree can be found in the how to apply pages of our website (Philosophy/History and Philosophy of Science and Theology and Religious Studies). No additional funding application forms are required to apply for this scholarship, as all applicants to the MA by Research programme will be considered.

Applicants who have already submitted an MA by Research application for 2013/14 need only make sure that any outstanding supporting documents are submitted by the deadline.

Eligibility for the scholarship is conditional on securing a place on a MA by Research programme in the School of PRHS at University of Leeds.
