EPSRC ICASE Studentship in Computational Fluid Dynamic

Funds are available for a PhD in the area of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). The area of application is the transonic flow found in engine intakes. The objective of the work is to improve the modelling of turbulence in this zone comparing with new experimental measurements. The applicant will need at least a 2:1 degree in engineering, a related science or applied mathematics.

The PhD is funded Rolls-Royce plc and the EPSRC (Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council).  It covers all University fees and maintenance for a UK student and fees only for EU applicants. Non EU applicants are not eligible for this funding award and should not apply. Funding is available for 3.5 years.
