  • Application of in situ techniques (such as impedance spectroscopy) to investigate changes, within the battery, during operation
  • Application of diagnostic techniques to investigate the diverse ageing mechanism within batteries
  • Application of techniques to characterise the health of a battery, both in vehicle and for second life usage
  • Application of techniques to monitor the performance and safety of the battery state in vehicle

Awards available: 1 award available
Funding Details: Full fees and a maintenance grant of approx. £19,000 (tax free) per annum
Length of Award: 4 years (EngD)
Eligibility: Due to funding restrictions this is available to Home (UK & EU) students
