- Application of in situ techniques (such as impedance spectroscopy) to investigate changes, within the battery, during operation
- Application of diagnostic techniques to investigate the diverse ageing mechanism within batteries
- Application of techniques to characterise the health of a battery, both in vehicle and for second life usage
- Application of techniques to monitor the performance and safety of the battery state in vehicle

Funding Details: Full fees and a maintenance grant of approx. £19,000 (tax free) per annum
