Anne Lyons Memorial Travel Scholarship (Postgraduate)



The Scholarship may be in the form of either a travelling fellowship for one semester to carry out relevant research into an area of social justice, or a visiting fellowship for a suitable local or overseas scholar to attend ACU for one semester.

Value
One scholarship valued at up to $6,000 is available each year.  The Scholarship is paid in one lump sum, in the form of a travelling fellowship for one semester to carry out relevant research into an area of social justice, or a visiting fellowship for a suitable local or overseas scholar to attend ACU for one semester.

Eligibility
This scholarship is open to postgraduate students in their final year of study.

Required Documentation
The following documents must be submitted with the application:

  • Evidence of enrolment or offer
  • Budget estimate outlining all expenses
  • Academic transcript
  • Reference (academic)
  • Reference (personal)

Selection Criteria
Applications are assessed based on the strength of the following criteria:

  • Budget estimate
  • Academic merit
  • References

Selection Process
The recipient will be selected by the Scholarships Office.

Ongoing Requirements
Recipients are requested to submit a letter of appreciation for the donor explaining how the Scholarship has assisted them.  The letter should be submitted to the Scholarships Office no later than 1 November.
