Scholarships for Online Distance Learning MA Applied and Professional Ethics

The Inter-Disciplinary Ethics Applied (IDEA) Centre at the University of Leeds is able to fund a number of fees scholarships for studying on the online Masters or Postgraduate Diploma in Applied and Professional Ethics for entry in September 2013.

The MA/PGDip in Applied and Professional Ethics is designed specifically for online distance learning. It is intended to help people in business, the professions and the public and third sectors – as well as graduates in relevant fields – develop skills and knowledge that can help them engage effectively with ethical issues in their working lives. The course is taught entirely online, making it particularly appropriate for those in full-time employment or resident overseas, who wish to gain a qualification from a leading university without interrupting their career.

We are pleased to be able to offer up to six scholarships for the academic year 2013/14. These will cover a proportion of the academic fees, mostly up to half the value, more rarely up to the full value. They are conditional on commencing studies in October 2013 (induction in September 2013), on either a part-time (2 year) or full-time (1 year) basis. For part-time students the scholarship is subject to review at the end of the first year.

Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic excellence, which will be assessed by considering the candidate’s application to the University and supporting documents, and the interview conducted as part of the admissions process.
