PhD Studentship:

The School of Music at the University of Liverpool is offering a Doctoral Studentship in Composition for full-time study commencing in September 2014.  The successful applicant, to be supervised by Dr. Ben Hackbarth, will have course fees waived, and will receive a Stipend of £13,726 per annum for three years.

Applicants should have, or expect to achieve, a MA, or equivalent, in music composition, and have a strong record of achievement at undergraduate level.  The School welcomes applicants from a diverse range of musical practice, specialising in acoustic composition, mixed media works, and/or real time electronics. The School of Music has three composers on its staff, and supports a vibrant culture of New Music events.
