Cambridge Africa Changemakers Scholarship 2025
The Cambridge Africa Changemakers Scholarship is a fully funded opportunity for exceptional PhD students from across Africa. Open to candidates in any discipline, the scholarship is tenable at any college within the University of Cambridge.
This scholarship aims to support talented individuals who demonstrate financial need and whose research will contribute to the sustainable development of Africa, with a strong emphasis on climate-resilient solutions for both the continent and the world. The program is offered in collaboration with the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Programme.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Cambridge Africa Changemakers Scholarship 2025, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of any African country.
- Apply for a full-time PhD programme at the University of Cambridge.
- Submit their application by the relevant course funding deadline.
- Undertake research that aligns with Africa’s development goals and promotes sustainability and climate resilience.
Scholarship Benefits
Selected scholars will receive comprehensive funding, including:
- Full tuition fees
- Annual stipend (sufficient to cover living expenses for one person)
- Immigration Health Surcharge
- Visa fees
- Travel and research-related costs
