Bloom Scholars Program 2025 – Now Open for Applications
Applications are now open for the 2025 cohort of the Bloom Scholars Program, designed for talented and driven young African women. This four-year scholarship offers up to $500 per year in tuition support, along with mentorship and community for emerging female change-makers across Africa.
The Bloom Scholars Program aims to empower the next generation of African women and girls to drive meaningful and lasting change in their communities and across the globe.
About Bloom Africa
Founded in 2019, Bloom Africa is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to harnessing the collective power of African and Diasporan women and girls. Through leadership development, scholarships, and community impact, Bloom Africa supports women in becoming agents of change on the continent and beyond.
Eligibility Criteria – Who Can Apply?
To qualify for the Bloom Scholars Program 2025, applicants must:
- Be female and a recent secondary school graduate
- Be a citizen of an African country
- Have plans to attend a recognized university in Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana, Kenya, or Sierra Leone in 2025
- Demonstrate financial need
- Show a strong passion for leadership and social impact

Required Documents
To complete your application, you will need to submit the following:
- Completed online application form
- High school transcript
- Final secondary school exam results
- College entrance/post-secondary exam results
- Provisional admission letter from a university in one of the five eligible countries
- Up to 7 short essay responses
- A completed recommendation form
