Ashesi University, in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, is pleased to announce that applications for the 2026 Mastercard Foundation Scholarship are now open. This prestigious scholarship provides full financial support and holistic development opportunities for academically talented, leadership-driven, and financially disadvantaged students from across Africa.
About the Scholarship
Launched in 2012, the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at Ashesi University was among the first of its kind, with Ashesi being one of nine pioneering partner institutions. Since its inception, hundreds of Scholars have been educated through this transformative initiative.
In addition to full undergraduate support, Ashesi, in collaboration with Arizona State University, offers an accelerated pathway for Scholars to complete both their undergraduate and master’s degrees in five years, instead of the typical six.
