The University of Brunei Darussalam (UBD) is currently accepting applications for its prestigious UBD Graduate Scholarships for the 2026 academic year. These fully funded scholarships are open to highly qualified international students who wish to pursue undergraduate or postgraduate degrees in Brunei.

Scholarship Benefits
Recipients of the UBD Scholarship will receive:
- Full tuition waiver
- Monthly subsistence allowance of BND 2,200 for up to 36 months
- On-campus accommodation for the duration of the program
- One round-trip economy class airfare from the student’s home country to Brunei (upon acceptance) and return after program completion
- Research allowance:
- BND 1,000 for Arts and Humanities
- BND 2,000 for Science-related fields
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the UBD Graduate Scholarship 2026, applicants must:
- Be under the age of 30 at the time of application (exceptions may be considered)
- Hold a Master’s degree with at least an Upper Second Class in a relevant field, or a First Class undergraduate degree from a top-ranked international university
- Meet UBD’s admission requirements, including English language proficiency
- Submit a high-quality and impactful research proposal
How to Apply (Step-by-Step)
- Visit the official UBD application portal using the link below.
- Apply online through the UBD Admission Application System (QASys).
- Fill in all mandatory fields — incomplete forms cannot be saved or submitted.
- Upload the following required documents:
- Certified copy of your international passport (or Brunei ID, if applicable)
- Certified academic certificates and transcripts (e.g. O Level, A Level, Bachelor’s, Master’s)
- Proof of English proficiency (IELTS, TOEFL, etc.)
- Once completed, click ‘SUBMIT’ before the application deadline.
Only applications submitted before the closing date will be considered.
