Temple University in the USA warmly welcomes international students by offering renewable merit scholarships of up to $20,000 per year to support their academic journey. Scholarship Value
#YouAreWelcomeHere Scholarship: Renewable award of $20,000 per year for up to four years (totaling $80,000).
#WhyUS Scholarship: Ranges from $2,000 to $10,000 per year, renewable for up to four years (for first-year students) or two years (for transfer students).
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered, applicants must:
- Be a first-year or transfer international applicant (non-U.S. citizen, without permanent residency).
- Have graduated from, or currently attend, a secondary school outside the U.S.
- Demonstrate interest and initiative in activities related to intercultural learning and exchange.
- Apply for admission to Temple University (applied, admitted, or planning to apply).
- Submit the scholarship application(s) by the stated deadline.
How to Apply (Step by Step)
- Apply for admission to Temple University through the Common Application.
- For the #YouAreWelcomeHere Scholarship, submit the application with an essay or video to YAWH@temple.edu
- (large videos may be shared via a link).
- For the #WhyUS Scholarship, submit the application with your creative response to the prompt.
- If awarded, secure your scholarship by submitting the enrollment deposit by May 1.
- Applicants are strongly encouraged to review all requirements on the official award webpage before applying.
