About the Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Canada Graduate Research Scholarship 2026, you must:
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or protected person, OR an international student currently enrolled in a Canadian Ph.D. program
- Have completed no more than 36 months of full-time doctoral study (including summers) by December 31, 2025
- Be enrolled in a research-based Ph.D. program, including joint programs such as MD/PhD, MA/PhD, or MBA/PhD, provided the program includes a significant research component (thesis or dissertation)
