We are seeking a full-time/part-time postdoctoral research assistant to join Osney research group at the Department of Engineering Science Osney. The post is jointly funded by MRC CiC/Industry sponsor and is fixed-term to 31 June 2017.
Existing microfluidic approaches to cell based assays are complex and find limited translation to biological/medical applications. This project seeks to develop a new approach to manufacturing and operating microfluidics networks; where simplicity and biocompatibility are enhanced over existing methods through a novel printing methodology. You will work closely with biologists to implement demonstration of the method in cell based assays, contribute and/or lead publications and contribute to the development of a larger scale grant applications.
You should possess experience in microfluidics/engineering/biotechnology or closely related field and ideally have, or be in the final stages of obtaining, a PhD.
