Qatar Government Scholarships 2025/26 Now Open for Applications
The Qatar Ministry of Education and Higher Education has officially opened applications for the Qatar Government Scholarships 2025/26. This fully funded initiative, sponsored by the Government of Qatar, offers exceptional Qatari students the opportunity to pursue diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate studies at leading universities both in Qatar and abroad.
The scholarship program is designed to boost the number of Qatari graduates across diverse academic fields, thereby contributing to the development of a knowledge-based economy.
Available Scholarship Tracks
The program includes three key pathways to accommodate different academic and career aspirations:
- Amiri Scholarship
- Abroad Scholarship
- Local Scholarship Program (including Tomouh)
These tracks provide funding for studies in prestigious universities in Qatar, the USA, the UK, Canada, and other top-ranked institutions globally.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Qatar Government Scholarships 2025/26, applicants must:
- Be a Qatari citizen
- Hold a valid high school diploma or its equivalent
- Be among the top 10 achievers in science, humanities, or specialized tracks
- Have an admission offer from one of the approved institutions
- Show commitment to academic excellence and comply with scholarship monitoring requirements
Scholarship Benefits
Amiri Scholarship (Top 24 Global + 5 Local Universities)
- QAR 8,000 monthly basic stipend
- QAR 12,000 monthly travel allowance
- Two business-class air tickets per year
- One-time QAR 40,000 pre-travel allowance
- Study duration counts towards government service
Medical Abroad Scholarships
- QAR 8,000 monthly stipend (Years 1–4)
- QAR 10,000 monthly travel allowance (Years 1–4)
- Two economy class tickets per year (Years 1–4)
- QAR 30,000 monthly stipend (Year 5+)
- Two business class tickets per year (Year 5+)
- One-time QAR 30,000 pre-travel grant
- Study period counts toward government service
General Abroad Scholarships
- QAR 8,000 monthly scholarship stipend
- QAR 6,000 monthly travel allowance
- One economy-class ticket per year
- One-time QAR 25,000 pre-departure grant
Local Scholarships in Qatar
- QAR 10,000/month – Medical & Education fields
- QAR 8,000/month – Engineering & Computer Science
- QAR 6,000/month – Applied & Health Sciences, Arts
- QAR 4,000/month – Professional diploma programs
