Italian Government Scholarship 2025–2026
The Italian Government Scholarship is now open for applications for the 2025–26 academic year. Italian Government Scholarship 2025 – Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the Italian Government Scholarship for the 2025–2026 academic year, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Applications must be submitted exclusively through the Study in Italy portal.

A valid passport or national ID card is required at the time of application.

A clear photocopy of the identification document must be uploaded during registration—failure to do so will result in disqualification.

Academic Qualifications

Open to foreign nationals and Italian citizens residing abroad.

Applicants must hold the necessary academic qualifications required for admission to their chosen Italian university or institution.
Age Limits

Master’s Degree / AFAM (Higher Education in Arts, Music, and Dance) / Italian Language and Culture Courses:

Must be at least 18 years old and not older than 28 by the application deadline (exceptions apply for scholarship renewals)

PhD Programs: Must be at least 18 years old and not older than 30 by the deadline (exceptions apply for renewals).

Research Projects under Academic Supervision: Must be at least 18 years old and not older than 40 by the deadline.

Full exemption from enrollment and tuition fees at Italian public universities or recognized institutions.

Health and accident insurance, arranged by MAECI, valid for the entire duration of the scholarship.

A total financial award of €9,000, disbursed in three installments:

First installment: €4,500

Second installment: €2,500
-
Final installment: €2,000
The health and medical insurance covers expenses related to illness or accidents and is effective only during the grant period.
