Transport Employers’ Scholarships



Brief Description: The Institute for Transport Studies (ITS), University of Leeds, is offering two fees scholarships, each worth £2000, to provide development opportunities to students of outstanding ability, achievement and potential. The scholarships will fund 30% of the tuition fees for two UK/EU students, due to funding restrictions, to undertake one of the following full-time Masters degree. The scholarships are funded by the employer organisations which recruit staff for their graduate intake directly from the ITS postgraduate cohort.

  • MSc Mathematical Modelling for Transport
  • MSc Sustainability in Transport
  • MSc Transport Economics
  • MSc Transport Planning
  • MSc Transport Planning and the Environment
  • MSc (Eng) Transport Planning and Engineering

Eligibility and Criteria: You must first hold an offer (conditional or unconditional) of an academic place on an ITS Masters programme for the academic year commencing September 2016, and be designated by the University as being of UK/EU fee status due to funding restrictions. All applications will be assessed on a competitive basis. A scholarship award cannot be deferred and will lapse if not accepted in September 2016.

Application Instruction: Please submit an ITS scholarship form, including a statement of 500 words on how a Masters degree would enable you to make a difference to transportation (e.g. in your country, region or area) and specifically to tackle a significant problem or issue to courses@its.leeds.ac.uk by 7th July 2016.
