This is ongoing for the academic year 2013/2014.

Information about the project:

Rated 2nd in the UK in the latest Research Assessment Exercise, we have outstanding experimental facilities, excellent industrial links

and internationally recognised research. Our graduates are highly regarded by industry and are consistently placed first in independent surveys of employers.

We have EPSRC funded studentships of 3.5 years duration in the following research groups:

  • Microwave and Communication Systems
  • Control Systems
  • Sensing Imaging and Signal Processing
  • Power Conversion
  • Electrical Energy and Power Systems
  • Microelectronics and Nanostructures

Qualifications applicants should have/expected to receive:

Applicants should have, or be expect to obtain, a first-class or upper second class honours degree in electrical/electronic engineering or a closely related discipline.

Amount of funding available and eligibility:

Covering tuition fees and a stipend at the standard Research Council rate (currently £13,590 per year, tax free). In accordance with Research Council requirements, the studentship is available to home students and also EU students who have been ordinarily resident in the UK for the preceding 3 years.
