Duchy College through its partnership with the Plymouth University is offering Research Masters (Biological Science) within the following project areas
- Alien invasion: an analysis of historical and potential future patterns of spread of invasive species in Devon, with a focus on Clinton Devon Estates
- Describing and explaining the conservation value of the Pebblebed heaths
- Making Nature Pay: An investigation into the viability of Payments for Ecosystem Services (PES) schemes to support the management of wildlife and habitats of East Devonâs Pebblebed Heaths
- Testing the predicted grazing benefits of cattle on heathland: a case study on the Pebblebed Heaths
These projects are offered in partnership with the Clinton Devon Estates. The qualification offers the opportunity to develop knowledge and experience in a highly focused and personal way.  There are a number of scholarships available equivalent to the full cost of the part-time tuition fee. Qualification criteria apply; with applications particularly welcome from Cornwall. Further details are available on request.
Programme structure – The majority of study is undertaken via the completion of a Research Dissertation, additionally two taught modules delivered in a âblockâ format are studied.
Duration – a minimum of 18 months full-time, 24 months part-time.
Entry Requirement – Honours degree at 2:1 or higher in a biological science or related discipline.Â
