Research associate position to investigate intra- and inter-layer mechanisms for spatial computation in the medial entorhinal cortex.
A post-doctoral position is available in the Nolan lab at the University of Edinburgh (http:nolanlab.mvm.ed.ac.uk). We are seeking to recruit a research associate to support a project exploring functions of the entorhinal cortex. The position will include responsibility for generation of viral vectors, histological analysis of neural circuits and some basic molecular biology.
Candidates should have a degree, or equivalent experience, in a relevant area, strong enthusiasm for the research area, excellent oral and written communication skills (English), and should be motivated to integrate well into an interactive and highly collaborative team of international scientists.
The position is funded by the Wellcome Trust and is for a period of up to 3 years. The starting date is negotiable from October 1st.
