Old Road Campus Research Building

Headington

We have a new and exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Postdoctoral Researcher to contribute to the research of the Radiopharmacy and Molecular Imaging Group, led by Dr Bart Cornelissen. The aim of the group is the development of novel preclinical imaging agents for oncology.

You will undertake research into the development of a novel imaging strategy for in vivo SPECT and PET imaging of cancer. The project, which is funded by the PCUK, involves the development of novel imaging probes for early detection of pancreatic cancer, targeting some of its key mutations.

You will have a PhD in chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology or a related science, with a strong interest in cancer biology and/or imaging. Strong experimental skills and a demonstrated ability to design and carry out laboratory studies using a range of biomedical imaging techniques are essential requirements of the role. A Home Office personal licence (PIL) would be advantageous.

This is a full-time post available for 1 year in the first instance.
