PhD Studentships Physical & Theoretical Chemistry

Applications are invited for PhD Studentships in Physical and Theoretical Chemistry at the University of Nottingham. Due to funding restrictions, only UK/EU students may apply. Research topics include: cluster science, computational and quantum chemistry, electrochemistry, molecular astrophysics, atmospheric chemistry, photon-molecule interactions, solid-state NMR and surface science. The results in the 2008 RAE Exercise propelled Chemistry at Nottingham into second place in the national rankings, judging 85% of our research activity to be ‘internationally excellent’ or ‘world leading’. The School of Chemistry has a dynamic, vibrant and highly stimulating teaching and research environment which is achieved through a truly international blend of students and researchers from different cultures who are committed to learning and scientific discovery.
