PhD Studentship in the Psychology of Debt



The School of Psychology at Queen’s University Belfast in collaboration with Grant Thornton LLP, invites suitably qualified individuals to apply for a fully funded PhD studentship to investigate the Psychology of Debt. The studentship covers fees at the UK/EU rate and maintenance (£13,726 in 2013/14).The successful candidate will join a thriving postgraduate research community of almost 50 PhD students who are very well resourced and supported in their research.

The deadline for applications is 21st October 2013 and interviews will be held during the week beginning 28th October. Please note that interviews can be conducted remotely in the event that a candidate is unable to travel to interview.

Qualifications:
Applicants should have a good 2i or higher Honours degree in Psychology (or a closely related discipline – in these cases individuals will need to demonstrate a good understanding of psychology theory and practice).

The successful candidate will spend a substantial proportion of their time working directly with employees of Grant Thornton LLP, so an appreciation of the potential application of psychology in a commercial context will be an advantage.
