Curtin University has a scholarship opportunity for a PhD student to research in the area of synthetic organic chemistry at the Bentley campus in Perth Australia. The student will engage with a higly specialized group in organocatalysis, natural product synthesis and modern synthetic methodology.

Value
The successful candidate will receive a stipend of $25,849 per annum which will be indexed for the duration of the award. This scholarship will be for three years with a possible maximum extension of up to six months.
If the successful candidate is an international student, the scholarship will cover the tuition fees for the duration of the award.
Eligibility criteria
The successful candidate will:
- have a strong training background in organic chemistry or a related field;
- be highly motivated;
- have strong English communcation skills;
- have or expected to have 1st class honours degree or equivalent;
Candidates with the following expertise are encouraged to apply:
- organocatalysis;
- total synthesis of natural products.
