A PhD student opportunity in the area of social dimensions of globalchange has been developed in response to on-going collaboration between theUniversity of the Sunshine Coast (Australia) and Brock University(Canada).
Researchers from the Sustainability Research Centre at theUniversity of the Sunshine Coast and the Environmental SustainabilityResearch Centre at Brock University, have been collaborating in the areasof global change, sustainability and resilience research for several years,which has now been formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding. Tofurther strengthen this collaboration, a strategic PhD scholarship has beenestablished in the area of the social dimensions of global change. The PhDstudent will enjoy supervision by researchers from both USC and Brock andwill spend time at both universities.
The successful student will beentitled to: (i) tuition fees scholarship; (ii) annual stipend plus top-up(current combined value of $36,288 pa in 2016); and (iii) travel andoperating budget of $5,000 pa.
