The EUI (European University Institute) Economics department generates top-class researchers and mostly of them pursue successful academic or professional careers in leading universities or other research-oriented organizations.
The ECO department offers course-based training in the areas of microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometrics.
The research consists in a four-year programme, where doctoral candidates have regular opportunities to present and discuss their research. The faculty covers a broad range of interests, so prospective researchers can supervise dissertations on a wide variety of topics within the three core areas.
