The School of Art History and World Art Studies is pleased to offer up to 4 Museum Internships, for study on our MA Museum Studies degree from September 2014. The internships will provide students with ?10,000 towards fees and expenses.
The closing date for admission applications is 1 March 2014.
The School of Art History and World Art? Studies, at the University of East Anglia, runs one of the longest-established programmes in Museum Studies in the UK ? and the only one based inside an art gallery, the Norman Foster-designed Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts (SCVA).
The School and University are consistently ranked in the top 10 in the UK for student satisfaction, and in the latest RAE, the School was rated first for internationally-recognised work, and joint third overall. A maximum limit of 12 students per year means that the MA in Museum Studies is student-centred and offers intensive preparation for a career in the museum profession or for a higher research degree in museum studies.
Interns become members of a department in the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts (SCVA), where they contribute to the team?s day-to-day work alongside their MA degree studies.
Interviews for the Internships are held in spring 2014.
