The Michigan Council of Women in Technology(MCWT) launched the Foundation in 2002 as nonprofit after MCWT members shared their concerns about the limited number of women entering the technology field, and it’s been positively impacting women from grade school to post-university life stages ever since.
The 2016 Scholarship opens in October 2015.
Girls Exploring Together- Information Technology, is a $5,000 award, renewable for four years. It is made possible by corporate sponsors and volunteer efforts of nearly 200 active MCWT members.
