Masters by Research Studentship: Design, Development and Testing of an Innovative Mobile App for Commercial Sustainability

Interview date: TBC

Applications are invited for a one year full-time research studentship, covering student fees plus a living allowance, to undertake an MSc by Research in the new Applied Design for Business Research Unit at the University of Gloucestershire. The work will involve working closely with a supervisory team from the School of Computing and Technology, with support also from the University of Gloucestershire Sustainability Team. The work will be sponsored by a local business client, who is providing a significant contribution to fees and living expenses.

The focus of work will be on the design of a working mobile application (app) prototype, testing the market commercialisation hypotheses with live web-based transaction trials, user interaction, adaptive feedback analysis, rapid software updates responding to evolving needs, and continuous collaboration with the sponsor to develop a market-ready design specification.

This is an excellent opportunity to undertake research and development on an innovative mobile app through a sponsored project. Your research study and product development will support a major industry in environment sustainability. The result will place you in an excellent position to enhance your career prospects.
