Funded PhD Studentship The Development of Predictive Models for Bilayer Pharmaceutical Formulations

The studentship covers an annual stipend and fee of £17,000 for 3 years.

Sponsored by Merck Sharp & Dohme Limited, a PhD studentship is available NOW for all nationals. The PhD project aims to explore the delamination mechanisms during the manufacture process of bilayer pharmaceutical formulations; and to develop predictive formulation and process development tools for bilayer tablets.

Candidates should have a first or upper second class undergraduate degree, or an MSc, in Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science, Physics, or a relevant discipline. Previous experience in particle engineering or pharmaceutical technology would be an advantage.

To Apply: please send your CV, a cover letter, academic transcripts, two academic references and proof of English language proficiency (where relevant) to Mrs. Hilary Mitchell, School of Chemical and Process Engineering [J2], Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences, University of Surrey, Guildford, GU2 7XH, UK, or by email to h.mitchell@surrey.ac.uk.
