Funded Masters in Sensor and Imaging Systems starting September 2015

The MSc in Sensor and Imaging Systems focuses on the technologies and techniques that underpin a vast range of societal, research and industrial needs. Sensing and sensor systems are essential for advances in research across all fields of physics, engineering and chemistry and are enhanced when multiple sensing functions are combined into arrays to enable imaging. This is an industry-focused programme.

This funding is an excellent opportunity to gain additional skills and expertise at a postgraduate level, with programmes being selected on the basis of industry skills gaps in Scotland.

Eligibility and Entry Requirements

This funding has been awarded to the University of Glasgow from the Scottish Funding Council. This funding is for tuition fees only and is available to Scottish and EU students.

Entry requirements for the MSc in Sensor and Imaging Systems are normally a 2:1 Honours degree or equivalent in Physical Sciences, Electrical Engineering or cognate subject. Applications are also welcome from candidates with (1) a 2:2 in these subject areas, (2) additional industrial experience or (3) a 2:1 or above in Computer, Chemical, Biological or Medical Sciences, or Mathematics, provided they are able to demonstrate an enthusiasm and aptitude for science and technology pertinent to sensing and imaging.
