Applications are invited for a fees only MSc by Research studentship in Exercise & Health Physiology and Psychology. This studentship is aligned to the University’s MSc by Research Sports Science programme.
Regular physical activity is advocated due to the range of health benefits it provides in children with insulin dependent diabetes mellitus (IDDM). Although regular PA participation has been shown to reduce the development of long term diabetic-related complications, research with regards to the influence of regular PA on metabolic control is conflicted. Therefore, the aim of this study will be to objectively examine the relationship between regular PA participation and metabolic control in child and adolescent patients with IDDM.
