Trudeau Foundation Doctoral Scholarships sponsors graduate students in high academic standing who want to pursue Doctoral degree programs in social sciences.
Approximately 15 is awarded every year. This scholarship is a well paid scholarship and so those the quality of Candidates being selected.
Value of the scholarship:
This scholarship can pay up to $60,000 per Scholar annually (including an annual travel allowance of $20,000) for up to four years
Selection Criteria:
- Candidates must have been accepted or will be accepted into a Canadian University
- Candidates pursuing Doctoral degree programs in any of the following related areas will be preferred:
- Human Rights and Dignity,
- Responsible Citizenship,
- Canada in the World,
- People in Their Natural Environment.
Scholars are selected through an application process that includes nomination by a university.
Foreign students who have been accepted or will be accepted into a doctoral program at a Canadian university are eligible for nomination by a university; applications from students of developing countries will be favoured.
