Developing Global Citizens Postgraduate Scholarships in UK, 2016

This scholarship  was designed to attract students from developing countries. Eligibility: These prestigious developing countries scholarships for
outstanding students applying for taught postgraduate
programmes and research degrees. In order to be
considered for this award applicants must:
-be a self-funded student from Africa, the ASEAN
countries, the People’s Republic of China or
Commonwealth country
-have a conditional/unconditional offer to study a
Masters degree or research programme in September
-have a valid LJMU applicant ID number
-complete the scholarship application form
-not be holding a scholarship from any other source/

Entrance Requirement:

Before applying for an LJMU
postgraduate scholarships for developing countries, applicants must have firstly made an
application to study at LJMU and be in receipt of an offer
from the University, otherwise their application will be
rejected. Applicants are also required to have the
specified English language requirement in advance of
making a scholarship application.

English Language Requirements: If English is not
applicants first language applicants will need an
internationally recognized English language qualification
such as IELTS in order to study at Liverpool John Moores
University. Postgraduate degrees: 6.0 – 6.5, International
Foundation Programme: 4.5 and Undergraduate degrees:

Supporting Material: When applicants apply to a
degree programme at LJMU, we will need to see the
-All academic transcripts
-Copies of degree/diploma certificates or work reference
(if employed)
-One academic reference
-An English Language test score (IELTS)
-Applicants personal statement
-Copy of applicants valid passport (with a minimum of 6
months left before expiration)
-Please note: a conditional offer can be made, providing
applicants can present these documents to the
University. An unconditional offer will not be made until
the University has seen all of the above documentation

How to Apply:

-Submit a current English Language Test
Score as part of applicants LJMU course application
(unless applicants are exempt under for example UK
Visas and Immigration guidelines).
-Complete an additional application form in order to be
considered for International Scholarships. Scholarship
applications will only be accepted after applicants have
applied using an official course application form either
via UCAS for undergraduate students or via online
application form.
-Use applicants unique student LJMU applicant ID
number for the scholarship application form, those
forms without this ID will not be accepted.
-Be sure to provide as much detail as applicants can
about theirself, applicants ambitions for the future and
what applicants hope to achieve while applicants are at
LJMU. Include information about paid or voluntary work
experience and how applicants plan to use their LJMU
qualification and experience once applicants return
-A panel will review their application and make a decision
on whether applicants will be awarded this financial
-Before applying for a scholarship applicants need to
consider that these  developing country scholarships only offer full and
partial discount on tuition fees. applicants will still need
to self-finance the balance of their tuition fee (if
applicable), their accommodation, daily living and travel
costs while applicants are in the UK.
