The College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine at the University of Edinburgh invites applicants to apply for competitive PhD Studentships for 2017-2018.
The College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine is comprised of two schools. These are the Edinburgh Medical School and the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies.Some of the areas of interest in the Biomedical Science can include:
- Genes and development
- Membrane biology
- Neural control systems
- Cognition, learning and synaptic plasticity
- Neuropharmacology
- Basic and clinical virology
- Bacterial pathogenesis and chemotherapy

The College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine PhD Studentship Scholarships cover tuition fees at the UK/EU rate and a stipend at or near to the RCUK rate (£14,296 p.a. in 2016-2017).
