This scholarship is to assist a political science major who shows promise of blossoming into a good or even a great student. Open to freshman applicants for their sophomore year. Requires a minimum GPA of 3.0 after the fall andwinter terms of the freshman year.

A complete application includes:

•Political Science scholarship application form.

•Personal letter of application that discusses your academic challenges in your first terms at the UO, what you have learned, where you hope to go from here, how you plan to succeed.

•Letter of recommendation from a faculty member from a fall or winter class. The recommendation letter must address how the student is making an effort to demonstrate ability to meet class expectations, and how the student isworking to improve grades. Consultation with a GTF might be necessary.
