In this unique programme students are exposed to a wide range of training in all aspects of structural, molecular and cellular biology, chemical biology and the computational tools necessary to address important problems in biomedicine.
The four year structure comprises intensive training in the first year in all three disciplines, including lab rotations, providing the basis for an informed choice and an excellent platform for progress in the research project in years 2-4.
UCL and Birkbeck are located in Bloomsbury, in the heart of London. This provides an excellent opportunity to join in the professional and social life of the capital.
Funding & Eligibility: Successful applicants will receive a 4-year Wellcome Trust PhD studentship including a tax-free maintenance stipend of Â£22,278 per annum (2014/15 rate) and tuition fees paid in full at the home/EU rate.
